Plean
Three miles east of Bannockburn, Plean, which lies on the main A9 between Stirling and Falkirk, was once known for sandstone quarrying. Key facilities in the village include the Balfour Centre, East Plean School, a parish church and a local library. Plean Estate is open to the public and is known as Plean Country Park, which boasts many walking routes which prove popular with visitors. Plean has a popular of around 1700.
